The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) is actively involved in the technical design of the cooperative approaches contained in the Paris Agreement and also drives dynamic development of carbon pricing instruments worldwide.
In collaboration with international partners, the Federal Government has launched a wide range of carbon market initiatives. Germany also supports research activities and dialogue forums to promote development of innovative approaches in all areas of the carbon market.
To showcase this broad portfolio, BMWK in the course of its public relations work has published a wide range of informational material and brochures which can be viewed in this section. Among other things, these include a general introduction to the topic of carbon pricing and cooperative approaches, along with overview publications on the various carbon market development initiatives.
