Views of stakeholders regarding the future of voluntary carbon markets diverge. Some expect a massive expansion of the voluntary markets while compliance markets would languish due to the inability of governments to agree on Article 6 rules. Others see governments becoming more conscious of the need to achieve their Nationally Determined Contribution and therefore reining in on the voluntary market in the medium term. Views differ as well regarding the need to apply corresponding adjustments for voluntary market activities. Our event brings together representatives of all key stakeholder types for a discussion of these issues.
