COP26 Side Event: Strengthening Momentum on Article 6 in Eastern Africa

The Eastern Africa Alliance on Carbon Markets and Climate Finance aims to ensure the long-term participation of member countries in carbon market activities. It offers a platform where countries can share experiences and foster a regional approach towards Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. This event will focus on readiness initiatives through the Alliance, the importance of a decision at COP 26, the framework and capacity gaps member countries face and the strategic coordination of activities with partner organisations.
