The 23rd annual workshop, organized by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), will be held over three days in Paris, France.
Various government officials, corporate executives, and researchers from non-governmental organizations and academia will come together to discuss the latest developments and prospects for GHG emissions trading. The workshops will combine presentations based on recent research findings with interactive discussions.
Topics will include:
- The international response to the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act and the role of emissions trading in the EU's 2040 climate target
- New developments in national carbon pricing plans and the role of carbon markets in facilitating climate adaptation, scaling up nascent technologies, and enabling a just energy transition
- Article 6, the Global Stocktake and the VCM
Workshop presentations will be made available on the IEA website after the events, upon approval from presenters.
