EB 91

EB 91 recommends expansion of the CDM to other areas

At its 91st meeting, the Board agreed on recommendations to the CMP on the future expansion of the CDM to other areas of use, including use of the CDM as an MRV tool in climate finance and with finance products (green bonds). The Board also issued a mandate to the Secretariat to support international climate finance institutions in using and financing the CDM. EB 91 further presented the results of an evaluation of the CDM Loan Scheme.

EB debates future of the mechanism, simplifies PoA rules

At its 89th session, the CDM EB discussed a revised list prepared by the Secretariat on options for using the CDM as a tool for other uses. Furthermore, the Board debated a range of issues in the context of streamlining of the CDM framework and took several decisions that simplify the inclusion of CPAs into PoAs.
