CDM, Article 6 and Private Sector Engagement
As countries in Africa work towards their climate change goals, the implementation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and the transition of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects are critical components of their strategies. This workshop will explore the challenges and opportunities for the CDM transition and Article 6 implementation in Africa, and how the private sector can be engaged. The workshop will bring together experts, policymakers, and private sector representatives from Africa and around the world to discuss the current state of CDM projects and the transition to the Article 6 Mechanisms. It will also explore the potential of Article 6 to facilitate cooperation between countries, support NDC implementation, and incentivise private sector engagement in Africa.
