Successful SPAR6C Webinar: Screening and Developing Art. 6 Activities

June 2024 – SPAR6C successfully hosted the third edition of its Toolbox Guides webinar series, introducing the latest insights and guidance related to Guide no. 5 on Screening and Developing Art. 6 Activities. This guide supports mitigation activity participants, which is the public or private entity that is the developer or owner of the mitigation activity, with advice and guidance throughout each step of the complete Article 6 activity cycle - from conceptualization of the project to transfer of credits. Participants learnt how to effectively navigate this process and how to define a clear pathway for the authorization of Article 6 activities. Speakers included Francois Sammut, Laura Camila Cruz, and Paula Macias (all from Carbon Limits), Banda Chanda (One Acre Fund, Zambia), and Paweena Panichayapichet (from the Thailand Green House Management Organization).

 

Highlights based on a survey conducted after the webinar (n=124):

 

  • 81% of attendees considered the content useful or extremely useful.
  • 52% will very likely use this information/ knowledge in their work/ climate action.
